View from Europe in SE direction towards Asia. The first crossing of Bosphorus, with a main span of 1074 m, has connected Europe and Asia since 1973. Its official name is 15 July Martyrs Bridge. Four more Bosphorus crossings (bridges and tunnels for road and railway) have been completed by 2024 to ease the inter-continental traffic.
