Urquhart Castle with Loch Ness

View in northeastern direction. This headland of Loch Ness has been used for fortification at least since early medieval times. Today's ruins are remnants of structures built from the 13th to the 16th Century. Urquhart Castle represents one of Scotland's largest castles by area.
