View from Cristo Rei in Almada towards northwest. The Ponte 25 de Abril has been carrying road traffic across the estuary of Rio Tejo since 1966, and railway traffic on an additional lower deck since 1999. Painted in a similar colour to the more famous Golden Gate Bridge, this suspension bridge has a main span of 1013 m.
