Morning view from ANZAC Hill towards south to the third largest town of the Northern Territory. Aboriginal Australians had lived in this area (known as Mparntwe) for thousands of years when European settlers arrived in the 19th century. The MacDonnell Ranges with the Heavitree Gap (right portion of the image, known as Ntaripe in the local Arrernte language) appear in the background.
